I began my professional life as a nurse. In 1996, I graduated from Lorain County Community College in Elyria, Ohio with an Associate Degree in Nursing, and the following year I received my Bachelor of Science degree in Nursing from Bowling Green State University, Firelands College, in Huron, Ohio.
I am a Registered Nurse and worked for over 14 years in the practice areas of Labor and Delivery, Postpartum, Level II Special Care Nursery, Newborn Nursery, and Pediatrics, and I served in both supervisory and clinical roles. I’m certified in Inpatient Obstetric Nursing and hold a certificate of added qualification in Electronic Fetal Monitoring. As an adjunct faculty member in the Registered Nursing/Associate Degree in Nursing program at the Lorain County Community College, I also taught Maternal-Newborn clinical rotations.
After going back to school, I earned both my Juris Doctor from the Cleveland-Marshall College of Law and a Master of Business Administration from Cleveland State University in 2008. At Cleveland State, I was inducted as a member of Beta Gamma Sigma, an international business honor society, and I was admitted to the Ohio Bar in 2009. I am also a member of the Ohio Association for Justice and the Association for Women’s Health, Obstetric and Neonatal Nurses.
I joined The Becker Law Firm in August 2010, where I use my perspective as a nurse to assist in representing medical malpractice claims.
My family and I live in Lorain County, Ohio. My son and I are active in kickboxing, taekwondo, baseball, and football. We really like to travel, especially “home” to Kentucky where many members of our family live.
In my free time, I enjoy the theatre, pleasure reading and getting together with friends.
